This is just something I remembered hearing about and figured now with my HCC accounting knowledge, I could understand it.
Exxon Mobil Earnings report from 2004.
Gasolines, naphthas
United States --- 2004: 3,301 -- 2003: 3,238
Mind you that is like how much gas was sold
Net income (U.S. GAAP) --- 2004:$25,330 -- 2003: $21,510
Oh and thats in millions of dollars
$25,330 X $1000000 = $25,330,000,000 Profit in 2004
$21,510 X $1000000 = $21,510,000,000 Profit in 2003
so $3,820,000,000 : 63(gas) = $60,000,000:1 profit.
And we wonder why the price of gas is so high.

Dining together across a table without the aid of a television is a man date; eating at a bar is not. Taking a walk in the park together is a man date; going for a jog is not. Attending the movie "Friday Night Lights" is a man date, but going to see the Jets play is definitely not.
